The Healthy, Efficient, New Gas Home project is studying ventilation and IAQ in California homes constructed since the 2008 building code came into effect.
Dr. Yang-Seon Kim is a postdoctoral fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Her research area is building energy and environments, more specifically the indoor air pollutant reducing technologies associated with building energy savings. Her current research focuses on residential building IAQ and ventilation: investigating the mechanical ventilation equipment's impact on IAQ, occupants' perceptions of IAQ and comfort, impacts of occupant activities on IAQ. Her previous research was related to occupants' impact on the building energy consumption and improvement of building energy simulation results by using occupants' information.
She holds a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, the Pennsylvania State University.
