This session addresses the primary changes to the ECCCNYS (NY Energy Code), Residential Requirements that went into effect in October 2017, of greatest interest to Home Performance Contractors. It encourages contractors to begin thinking about how best to comply with these requirements, brushes upon basic building science around these requirements, helping to show the advantages to compliance for all construction stakeholders. We will cover new compliance options and opportunities for the Energy Code, including Duct and Envelope Testing Services (DET) and HERS/Performance Path compliance, and the use of REScheck.
