Jonathan Comstock is the Heatsmart Program Director for a non-profit, Solar Tompkins. Jonathan enjoyed a career as a Plant Ecologist and has only in the last decade come to appreciate the importance of building science. He is retired from Cornell, and a co-author on both the Agriculture and Ecosystems chapters of ClimAID, a climate change adaptation report sponsored by NYSERDA. He transitioned gradually from academia first as a volunteer leader in numerous energy initiatives and now full time as the HeatSmart Director. HeatSmart provides community education and support for residents to make improvements in building efficiency and adopt heat pumps.
