Who We Are

Forged by the merger of Affordable Comfort, Inc. (ACI) and the National Home Performance Coalition (NHPC), the Home Performance Coalition unites the many voices of the home performance and weatherization industry, analyzes industry trends and issues, provides education to advance the standards and practices of our industry, and supports collaboration and business development throughout all sectors.

ACI is the leading educational resource for the home performance industry, an unbiased go-to resource for home performance and weatherization professionals.

The National Home Performance Council works to advance the whole-home energy efficiency industry through standards development, stakeholder engagement, policy analysis and research.

Projects + Initiatives

HPC’s policy analysis and research projects span a range of topics, from smart home technology and how homeowners are becoming more engaged in pursuing energy efficiency to cost-effectiveness testing to the role that residential energy efficiency plays in carbon reduction and compliance with Clean Air Act Section 111(d). Our policy and research experts frequently lecture on these topics at industry events around the country.

The Home Performance Coalition works with the Building Performance Institute (BPI) and others to drive consensus on how data is collected, tracked, and managed in the home performance and weatherization industry. We are currently working on three data standards projects:

The Home Performance Coalition works at the intersection of the smart grid and energy efficiency industries to advance cutting edge research and policy analysis on how advanced metering technologies can benefit the home performance industry.
